This ointment treats a type of bacterial skin infection called impetigo. Also, it treats inflammation of a hair follicle. Other conditions that it treats include:
- minor skin infection due to bacteria
- methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus bacteria in nose
- Finally, it treats furunculosis or boils on the skin
