Amoxycillin Dispersible Scored Tablets is an antibiotic that treats a variety of bacterial infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Amoxycillin Dispersible Scored Tablets treats only bacterial infections. It will not work for viral infections (such as common cold, flu).
Also, when used with other medicines, it treats stomach/intestinal ulcers caused by the bacteria H. pylori. The drug also prevents the ulcers from returning.
- Take this drug at the time(s) recommended by your doctor.
- You can take the amoxicillin capsule, tablet, chewable tablet, or suspension with or without food.
- You should take amoxicillin extended-release tablets within 1 hour of finishing a meal.
- Don’t crush, cut, or chew the extended-release tablets.
