This test kit checks for the presence of the pregnancy hormone, human chorionic gonadotrophin in your urine. Your body makes this hormone after a fertilized egg attaches to the wall of your uterus. It works by measuring levels of a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG).

HCG can be present in the blood and urine approximately 10 to 14 days after conception. Levels of hCG rise quickly, doubling every 2 to 3 days. This test will let you know if you are pregnant.

A pregnancy test kit is around 99 percent reliable. If a woman misses a period or other signs suggest she may be pregnant, it is a good idea to take a test.
