Amoxycillin Dispersible Scored Tablets is an antibiotic that treats a variety of bacterial infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Amoxycillin Dispersible Scored Tablets treats only bacterial infections. It will not work for viral infections (such as common coldflu).

Also, when used with other medicines, it treats stomach/intestinal ulcers caused by the bacteria H. pylori. The drug also prevents the ulcers from returning.

 

How do you take amoxicillin dispersible tablets?
General
  1. Take this drug at the time(s) recommended by your doctor.
  2. You can take the amoxicillin capsule, tablet, chewable tablet, or suspension with or without food.
  3. You should take amoxicillin extended-release tablets within 1 hour of finishing a meal.
  4. Don’t crush, cut, or chew the extended-release tablets.
How often do you take amoxicillin 125mg?
HOW TO USE: Take this medication by mouth with a meal or snack, usually every 12 hours, or as directed by your doctor. Antibiotics work best when the amount of medicine in your body is kept at a constant level. Therefore, take this drug at evenly spaced intervals.
Can amoxicillin be taken on an empty stomach?
You can take it with or without food. If it upsets your stomach, take it with food. Take your medicine at regular intervals. Do not take your medicine more often than directed.
